Take it to the next level.
After doing patent research on their invention, many of our clients need to take the next step and build an actual prototype or prepare their invention for manufacturing. Noro IP helps clients move to the next level in product development and patent protection without having to change companies. Our Engineered Prototypes are priced below the average market cost. Bring your idea to life with an Engineered Prototype!
Are you wondering whether to get a prototype before or after filing for a patent?
The answer varies with each individual case. For example, if you do not want to manufacture and sell your product, getting a prototype first may be necessary to demonstrate the viability of your product to potential licensing prospects. Each case requires careful consideration of your desired result. For a free, confidential consultation of your case, please contact us.

Engineered Prototypes Service Description
Unlike a Rapid Prototype, these are complex engineered prototypes that require temporary molds, additional manufacturing steps and multiple materials to create a working model of the concept. Your Engineered Prototype will be developed by our lead engineer, who has 35 years of experience in product development and patent engineering. Your invention will be completely and uniquely custom fabricated or molded.
Common uses of Engineered Prototypes include:
- optimize and evaluate invention design and functionality
- prove a product's viability
- cost-effective way to decide if you should move forward with full-scale manufacturing
- support the patent process
- demonstrate the invention to potential licensors or investors
- refine material selection, tolerances, and other engineering decisions
