The Amazon Kindle team is seeking a copyright Evaluation Specialist for our Kindle Books Self Publishing Customer Service (CS). The Copyright Evaluation Specialist will:

Evaluate copyright and appropriateness for content submitted through's Digital Text Platform
Effectively prioritize work time to ensure productivity and fulfill team standards for time spent in order to consistently achieve service levels
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and expedient resolutions for critical issues
Leverage technology and innovation to bring continuous improvement to the operational processes
Work effectively in a cross-functional environment with legal, technical, and product management teams
Candidates must be willing to view and evaluate content that may be considered religiously sensitive, politically extreme or otherwise offensive

Necessary Experience:

 Job Qualifications:

A passion for books and reading
3-5 years of production-oriented experience in large organization
Copyright, library sciences or similar relevant experience
Fluency in a language such as German, French or Spanish
Must be able to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills required
Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done
Experience working in startup and internet technologies is preferred
Experience in digital media and knowledge of the publishing industry is a plus
Willingness to work weekends when necessary to support production
Bachelor’s degree required
