The Patent Paralegal position is an integral part of our legal team. Responsibilities will include:
· Taking on the lead role in maintaining the patent tracking database and its domestic and international subsidiaries.
· Administering technology and trademark portfolios from initial concept through prosecution phase, including working directly with outside counsel and business operations to monitor prosecution activity.
· Drafting and revising a variety of legal documents used in information technology transactions by the company.
· Assisting with the due diligence process, such as searching for patent status and ownership, licensing or assignment information.
· Assisting in litigation matters, including internal fact-finding, discovery, pleading preparation and logs.
· Accomplishing continuous improvement objectives for the legal department.
· Collaborating with team members to expeditiously respond to issues as they arise.

Necessary Experience:

 Experience/Skills Required
The successful Patent Paralegal will have the following skills:
· 4+ years of experience as a patent paralegal
· Expertise in docketing software and docket maintenance
· Ability to provide work product in a manner that shows a comprehensive understanding of the business needs of the company and be resourceful and reliable in handling and completing matters.
· Aptitude to think and work independently and possess excellent time management skills in order to meet goals and deadlines under sometimes pressured conditions.
Ability to collaborate with team members to expeditiously respond to issues as they arise.
· Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
· Due to the nature of the position within the company, the candidate will be required to exercise discretion and sound judgment concerning confidential information.
· The candidate must conduct all activities in a manner, which is at all times fair, moral, ethical, and legal.
