Job Description:
Howrey LLP, recently acknowledged as an "A" list firm in The American Lawyer's list of "the best law firms in the land" and a 2008 "Best Place to Work" by the Washington Business Journal, has an exciting Client Services Coordinator, Intellectual Propertyopportunity in its Washington, DC office.

The primary objective of the Client Services Group (CSG) is to work with the partners of the firm to grow revenues by developing more satisfied and loyal client relationships; to retain and grow revenue from existing clients; to extend the lines of business and geographical spread with each individual client, to disseminate best practices within the firm, and among clients; to reducing the cost of service delivery; and to add more value to the services we provide to clients.

The Coordinator role serves as an advocate for firm initiatives from a business development and client services perspective. This person will assist the Manager, IP Practice Group Services and Director, Firmwide Practice Group Support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager and Director with all business development, marketing and client service oriented activities related to the Intellectual Property practice.
Assist other members of the Client Services Group (CSG) with business development, marketing and client service oriented activities as needed.
Write, edit and update attorney biographies, practice group descriptions, case and matter descriptions, firm and practice group third party survey submissions, internal newsletters, client alerts, seminar invitations and seminar materials.
Maintain practice-specific pages of the firm Web site.
Conduct research and analysis on new targets and clients.
Assist attorneys with preparing standard and customized materials for client pitches.
Assist in responding to formal requests for proposals (RFPs).
Support strategic client events and seminars.
Support strategies to maintain and expand client relationships, including development and implementation of strategic client teams, new client development initiatives, new or expanded client support initiatives, and new or expanded client relationship initiatives.
Manage the legal alert process.

Keep up to date with industry publications and trends to identify marketing and sponsorship opportunities.
Create PowerPoint presentations, construct/format basic spreadsheets, etc.
Support or manage special projects as needed, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
Minimum Educational Level and/or Required Experience:

3-5 years of professional work experience.
Prefer Law Firm or Professional Services Marketing experience.
Prefer previous intellectual property practice group experience.
Undergraduate degree Required (Prefer business or marketing background).
