Essential Responsibilities:

· The position will maintain and continuously update Harman’s CPi and General Matters databases for all global trademark matters including prosecution, opposition, cancellation, conflict and anti-counterfeiting matters.

· This position will coordinate and communicate with in-house domestic and international subsidiaries/business units on trademark matters; coordinate and communicate with outside domestic and international counsel on trademark matters; prepare legal documents; scan and upload documents onto the databases; gather and organize evidence of use for various domestic and international; prepare, generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports, and on an as requested basis; prepare reports for and attend docket meetings; perform internet research projects and other special projects as requested; assist in managing the domestic and international anti-counterfeiting; assist with trademark searches and clearance; assist with review of watch notices; and assist with administrative duties including filing.

· Must also be able to track the progress of international trademark applications and oppositions through various resources and databases; and understand and oversee the legalization process for trademark documents.

Basic Qualifications:

· U.S. and international trademark experience.

· U.S. and international anti-counterfeiting experience.

· 2-4 years previous trademark docketing experience preferably using the CPi database.

· Knowledge of on-line trademark search databases including Dialog or Saegis.

· Computer proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

· Good oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills

· Must be detail oriented and demonstrate accuracy and consistency.

· Able to manage numerous projects, meet deadlines and prioritize workload.

· Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as closely with team members.

· Notary certification a plus.

· College degree is preferred.
