The role: Legal Assistant, Patent

Legal Assistants with Google are called on to perform a wide variety of critical support and administrative tasks, therefore requiring self-confident, detail-oriented and patient individuals, capable of processing large workloads with a smile and a sense of humor. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining patent files, calendaring, research, training, routing documents for signature as well as other administrative tasks to help the team. You'll also need to be fully knowledgeable about Google products and services, and able to talk about them in a clear, concise and engaging manner.

Responsibilities: Update and maintain internal databases and file systems. Work with attorneys to manage individual prosecution dockets. Undertake research related to patent acquisitions, licenses and litigation.. Administer new employee patent training programs. Perform a full range of administrative tasks. Requirements: BA/BS degree preferred with an excellent academic record. Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to review legal documents and organize numerous legal documents in complex intellectual property matters. Ability to prioritize and manage numerous simultaneous projects under deadline pressure. Experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and highly team-oriented.
