Under the direction of the Sr. Intellectual Property Counsel this position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of US and foreign trademark prosecution. This position will interact internally with all of the divisions and externally with outside counsel and business partners.
1. Assist with all aspects of US trademark prosecution and maintenance, including maintenance of files, preparation and filing of applications, office action responses, ITU-related documents and post-registration documents, including Section 8 and 15 Affidavits and renewals.
2. Correspond with foreign counsel regarding trademark clearance, trademark prosecution, maintenance of applications and renewals. This includes gathering and sending pertinent information to counsel, reviewing foreign office actions and responding to correspondence.
3. Conduct trademark clearance searches and prepare related reports.
4.Maintain trademark database and run reports from database.
5.Correspond with business divisions to gather information and evidence for trademark matters.
6.Assist with drafting trademark permission agreements and denials.
7. Research and stay abreast of intellectual property developments.
. One to three years experience with trademark prosecution or enthusiastic, energetic self-starter looking to learn about protecting one of the world’s most valuable intellectual property.
