Regeneron is a biopharmaceutical Company that discovers, develops, and commercializes therapeutic medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. Regeneron currently markets ARCALYST (rilonacept) Injection for subcutaneous use for the treatment of a rare, inherited, inflammatory condition. The company has therapeutic candidates in clinical trials for the potential treatment of cancer, eye diseases and inflammatory diseases, and has preclinical programs in other diseases and disorders.

With a strong research base and product focus, Regeneron is able to understand thoroughly the biology of specific disease states, discover potential therapeutic candidates and evaluate product candidates in clinical trials. Regeneron has developed several proprietary platform technologies, which it has incorporated into a comprehensive system that allows it to accelerate the discovery and design of fully human antibodies and move these candidates rapidly into clinical development.

We seek a patent attorney to assist in the area of technology development and monoclonal antibodies. The patent attorney must have a solid scientific training and be able to understand molecular biology and our technologies (see Regeneron's website for more information). The attorney will be assisting a senior patent attorney , and must be able to interact with scientists, draft patent applications, take responsibility for prosecuting existing applications, and provide input to foreign counsel. The attorney will need to independently conduct prior art searches and provide freedom to operate analyses.

 Experience:
Education:
*Law degree from accredited law school.
*Undergraduate degree in relevant science (graduate degree is a plus).
*Registered patent attorney.
*Member of the USPTO and NY bar (or willingness and qualifications to become a member of the NY bar).
Knowledge and skills required:
*Two to six (2-6) years total experience in drafting and prosecuting biotechnology related patent applications, and performing biopharmaceutical freedom to operate analyses.
*Actual laboratory experience is a plus.
