Intellectual Property Counsel

What You Do:

Provide legal support for the Company's intellectual property matters. Manage the Company's patent portfolio and strategic procurement of patents. Provide day-to-day counseling in all aspects of trademark law including developing and maintaining policing protocols, clearance searches, applications and disputes/conflicts. Implement IP strategies/policies including enterprise-wide operational risk and compliance. Provide counsel for all aspects of intellectual property pre-litigation and pending litigation matters. Structure and negotiate complex transactions and draft related documentation. Draft and negotiate technology agreements including but not limited to those involving: patent and trademark licenses and other intellectual property; hardware sales and leases; software and content licenses; maintenance and support; source code escrow; consulting and professional services; non-disclosure and website development. What's Required:

Bachelor's degree Juris Doctorate Member of New York Bar or ability to become member promptly 8 years prior legal experience focusing on intellectual property, with at least some in-house technology experience preferred Hardware and software industry experience a plus
