The role: Strategic Patent Licensing and Acquisitions Manager

As a Strategic Patent Licensing and Acquisitions Manager, you'll have the unique opportunity to help mold the world-shaping technologies that the company is developing. You'll use your technical, legal and strategic business skills to assess patent licensing and purchasing opportunities and their alignment with Google's needs. With the patent team, you'll help negotiate and close domestic and international patent deals. You'll work cross-functionally within the the legal department, as well as with other business groups at Google and you'll also work with outside parties.

Responsibilities: Evaluate and value potential patent acquisition and licensing opportunities Negotiate and close resulting deals Work with the patent and litigation teams in resolving patent disputes Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred with strong academic record. (Technical degree a plus, JD a plus) Strong legal and/or business background, with at least 5 years of relevant experience Outstanding verbal communication skills, including experience in public speaking Excellent negotiation skills Good business judgment Ability to understand, identify and properly address key patent licensing issues Professional demeanor
