Dynamic, team-oriented, highly specialized growing intellectual property law-firm is seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary to provide legal and administrative services to attorneys, patent agents, technical specialist, and paralegals. We are looking for someone who loves prosecution (electrical, biotechnical or mechanical), and wants to be treated as a valued member of a winning team.

Responsibilities include: Preparing documents (i.e., New Applications, Continuations, Amendments, Reporting Letters, IDS's, etc.); docket maintenance; scheduling meetings and conferences; coordination of travel; client interaction; time entry; processing expense reimbursement requests; file organization and maintenance; performing internet research; and other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: Minimum three years of patent prosecution legal secretary experience in a law firm; advanced Microsoft Word (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint are a plus); maintain a current knowledge of U.S., and foreign procedures and rules relating to Intellectual Property; familiarity with EFS and PAIR; excellent proofreading and editing skills; flexibility for occasional OT; superior organization skills; high attention to detail; outstanding communication skills; confidentiality; ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under tight deadlines; desire to provide executive-level support in a legal environment; and ability to work independently or in a team; undergraduate degree highly preferred..
