As a member of the Intellectual Property Group of the Law Department, you will be directly responsible for supporting patent attorneys and agents. The primary responsibilities of this position include: preparing and filing patent prosecution documents, including office action responses, notices to file missing parts, Information Disclosure Statements, and assignments filing new U.S. and PCT patent applications and corresponding with foreign counsel to effect foreign patent filings interacting with internal business clients to ensure critical information is obtained or distributed in a timely manner generating reports from patent docketing database (CPi) processing legalization of documents, ordering certified copies of patent documents performing other general duties in support of the patent professionals



Necessary Experience:

 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Minimum three years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm or corporation; undergraduate degree preferred Current knowledge of U.S. and foreign procedures and rules relating to patents Working knowledge of patent docketing issues and patent docketing databases, such as Computer Packages Inc. (CPi) Familiarity with U.S. Patent Office website, including EFS Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and excellent communication and listening skills Strong interpersonal skills to work as part of a diverse team Ability to meet new challenges with an open mind and an optimistic response Experience working for a global company preferred Must have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
