Job Description:

The position involves the hands on review of patents and technical literature, project and team management, detailed analysis of findings and the presentation of critical information to clients both visually and orally. Analysts and project managers interact directly with clients including top-tier IP attorneys, scientists and engineers and senior managers from business development, R&D and IP. Important business and patent issues are addressed through our search efforts to assess the novelty of various technical innovations and developments. Additionally, candidates will be involved with in-depth analysis of emerging and established technologies, including recognition of new technical developments, trends and business opportunities.

The analyst and project manager positions are ideal for candidates who have a strong interest in cutting edge technologies and strategic issues facing the medical device industry surrounding product development, intellectual property, business development and strategy. Some travel may be required. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the candidate will play an instrumental role in discussions with clients regarding relevant technologies and strategic implications of findings. Education/Other Requirements:
The Medical Device Group projects cover a variety of technical areas including surgical tools/instruments, drug delivery systems, medical electronics and implants.

Bachelors plus experience, MD, Masters or PhD in Biomedical Engineering Space with a focus in mechanical or electrical engineering from a leading school
Experience working in the intellectual property field is a plus
Experience in a technical consulting environment is a plus
Experience in project management is also a plus
