The IP File Transfer Project Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of all incoming and outgoing IP file transfer projects. They will manage the IP File Transfer team and develop and execute processes that rely on and are consistent with Firm defined work flow and technologies. The Manager will ensure each IP file transfer project accomplishes the Firm’s loss prevention goals of correct and timely entry of docket due dates, transfer of responsibility with respective foreign agents and well as the US Patent and Trademark Office, the creation or inactivation of client/matter records, and the transition of physical and electronic information.

Required experience includes:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five years IP Docketing experience.
Demonstrated project management experience, using understood methodologies to plan, manage and oversee projects.
Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Project.
Three years of management/supervisory experience.
Knowledge of IP rules in national and international patent and trademark markets.
Ability to evaluate and build IP family relationships and history.
Experience with US and foreign patent and trademark office web sites and the ability to research and locate data.
Working knowledge of IP docket systems.
Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
